Fiery Furnace

Inspired by the account in Daniel, this piece shows the three figures of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Nebuchadnezzar’s fiery furnace. A surprise fourth figure appears in metal leaf. The flames here are implied in the reflection of the garments, which according to the story, were left unsinged from the heat. Egg tempera and metal leaf, with prints available.
